    The album booklet is specially designed and serves as the main material part of this project. It feels good to touch, it is produced locally and fairtrade. In addition to song lyrics, photos, artwork and behind-the-scenes insights, it also contains two interactive, playful components: a riddle to take part in a prise draw, as well as inspiring, performative cues to the individual songs, with which the listener is invited to experiment.

    I'm very interested in how the boundaries between art and everyday experience could blur, for example by playing with perception & sensual experience - especially related to physicality (inspired by performance art).

    The artwork for the album was created by Collage Artist Sharon Arik Karandi. For each track he created a special collage work - completely analogue! These are shown in the booklet next to the song lyrics. We are planning an exhibition of the collage pictures for the upcoming In Spirals concerts. The photos for the album were also shot analogue by photographer Sophie Nawratil.     ... more

    Hi there! Thank you so much for supporting my art by purchasing IN SPIRALS as a CD that comes with the very special, interactive booklet.

    Originally, I planned to not make a CD entirely, as I believe CDs have become obsolete in today's streaming world (and create more material junk). A survey among my supporters during my Kickstarter campaigne showed that there are some active CD listeners who would like to have an In Spirals CD (like you! thanks!). So I decided to produce a small edition with the certainty that the CD would not just gather dust on the shelf.
